  78.         <text>This is the final (and hopefully bug free) version of my color palette for HyperCard/QuickTime scriptors.This HyperCard stack was created as a means to view QuickTime movies while developing  a HyperCard stack and as a programming exercise in creating a custom palette for a HyperCard stack.  Hopefully, the user is familiar with HyperCard/QuickTime scripting.The main use for this palette is to allow a HyperCard/QuickTime author to preview what a movie will look like and to determine the necessary coordinates for displaying the movie where desired.If you select the "zoom" style of movie display, it is possible to change the size of the window as required by the author.  Using standard HyperCard techniques, the coordinates for the new movie size can be obtained for the "movieRect" or "windowRect" commands to display a QuickTime movie of a certain size and at a certain location within a HyperCard stack. In this example of a palette, the QuickTime movie to be viewed must be titled:  Take 1.  There is a space between the word take and the number 1.  This is critical!!!It is best if the movie is in the same folder as the stack containing this palette.To begin, click on one of the movie display style  buttons on the color palette.   Once the movie appears on the card, it may (depending on the style selected)  be repositioned as desired or required for optimum viewing.  The other buttons are self explanatory to those familiar with using QuickTime movies.  When finished viewing the movie, click on the "Close window" button.This palette may be transferred to another stack using ResEdit or some other resource mover.  You must transfer both the PICT and PLTE resources named "Riser's Remote-2" to the destination stack.When you are finished with it in your stack, just use ResEdit to delete the above two resources.I hope this little item will be of some use to you.If you decide to use it or modify it, please let me know.   I would especially be interested in any modifications.Created 5/25/92by:Jim Riser (AOL - IPRiser)5635 East FairmountTucson, Arizona 85712NOTE:  Click in this field to dismiss it.</text>
